Training
Oops, we did it again–and I’m sure we will do it again in 2022! We completed training in 2018, 2019, and 2021 to ensure our team of captains and flight instructors are up to date on the latest standards as set by the Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA). We would rather not talk about 2020.We covered the following topics both in a classroom setting and practical application:
Safety
Weather
Equipment
Maintenance and inspection
Flight zone safety
Emergency procedures
All of our practical application was conducted using a 55-gallon drum with varying amounts of water in the varying wind in an attempt to simulate actual conditions. In our downtime, we continue to practice with different chutes in different wind conditions during parasailing training. We believe we will maintain our excellent safety record through constantly assessing our skills and techniques in parasailing training as well as keeping up with ever-evolving equipment and standards. It’s a long week, but we think you’re worth it.
